About the Presenter
Michelle Cox is a certified Life Coach, Mental Health First Aid Instructor, CEO of The ChangeMakers of East Texas, author, presenter and public speaker who has lived in Nacogdoches, Texas since 2007. Through life coaching, she assists children, teens and adults in overcoming limiting beliefs, stress, overwhelm and insecurity, by establishing new empowerment patterns in mindset, emotional regulation and nervous system reset techniques.
As a Mental Health First Aid Instructor for Burke, Michelle trains school district faculty, staff and members of the community, to identify signs and symptoms of mental health challenges in youth or adults, to know how to approach them and connect them to appropriate care.
Coach Michelle is passionate about improving mental health, increasing self-esteem, living with hope and carving out joy despite challenging circumstances. She has published a self-help guide, Making Sense of Your Internal Experience, and records a weekly podcast, Let's Talk: Examining Resilience in Everyday Life."

Michelle is wife of 24 years to Neal Cox, art faculty at Stephen F. Austin State University, and mother to Caleb (22), Tim (20), Ben (18), Sam (14), Norah (10) and Henry (9).
She loves to travel, bake, hike mountains, stroll on the beach, play board games with her family, read and learn new things!
