305 E. Main St. Nacogdoches, Texas

Open to all adults, ages 18+.


What to Expect

Please arrive 10-15 minutes early. Dress in comfortable clothing.

Meditation and breathing exercises will be taught throughout the retreat.

We will be indoors in a peaceful learning environment, mostly sitting at a table but with some opportunities for movement. No strenuous stretching or exercise, or sitting on the floor, will take place.


Arrie Allen Tucker, massage therapist, and yoga and mediation instructor of Reach That, LLC will start the Retreat off with a relaxation mediation. Feel the stress begin to melt away in seconds!

Michelle Cox, certified life coach of Michelle Cox Life Coaching LLC, CEO of The ChangeMakers of East Texas and Mental Health First Aid Instructor for Burke, will guide the majority of the Retreat. Gain impactful insights into cultivating peace and lowering stress within your body and daily life. Understand what causes the physical experience of stress. Discover the role your thoughts play in elevating or reducing stress. Build new patterns for lower stress and more peace throughout your life going forward!


Taco Lunch is included in your ticket!

Every participant will receive a Guest Goodie Bag with swag from local businesses, as well as, Coach Michelle's new 108-page workbook for on-going self-coaching and guidance! The workbook will be used during the Retreat. Leave feeling refreshed, recharged, empowered and prepared to live a more peaceful, calm and connected life!

Lunch is included with your ticket! Each plate includes 3 tacos with corn tortillas, rice, beans and drinks (horchata, water and lemonade). Lunch is catered by Taco Chop Shop in Nacogdoches. Yum!

About the Presenter

Michelle Cox is a certified Life Coach, Mental Health First Aid Instructor, CEO of The ChangeMakers of East Texas, author, presenter and public speaker who has lived in Nacogdoches, Texas since 2007. Through life coaching, she assists children, teens and adults in overcoming limiting beliefs, stress, overwhelm and insecurity, by establishing new  empowerment patterns in mindset, emotional regulation and nervous system reset techniques.

As a Mental Health First Aid Instructor for Burke, Michelle trains school district faculty, staff and members of the community, to identify signs and symptoms of mental health challenges in youth or adults, to know how to approach them and connect them to appropriate care.

Coach Michelle is passionate about improving mental health, increasing self-esteem, living with hope and carving out joy despite challenging circumstances. She has published a self-help guide, Making Sense of Your Internal Experience, and records a weekly podcast, Let's Talk: Examining Resilience in Everyday Life."

Michelle is wife of 24 years to Neal Cox, art faculty at Stephen F. Austin State University, and mother to Caleb (22), Tim (20), Ben (18), Sam (14), Norah (10) and Henry (9).

She loves to travel, bake, hike mountains, stroll on the beach, play board games with her family, read and learn new things!
